Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team is set for two games this weekend, including an exhibition contest against NCAA Division I Illinois State.

• The Lions will conclude their brief two-game homestand inside Hyland Arena on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. against Culver-Stockton.

• Following its game with Culver-Stockton on Friday, Lindenwood will travel to Normal, Ill. on Saturday afternoon for a 2:00 p.m. exhibition contest with Illinois State.

• Lindenwood has faced Culver-Stockton 37 times in program history, and narrowly holds the edge in the all-time series, 19-18.

• The Lions and Wildcats last met on Jan. 27, 2011 in Canton, Mo. Lindenwood defeated Culver-Stockton in that game 75-48.

• Lindenwood has never faced Illinois State, and will be playing its third exhibition against an NCAA Division I opponent in the last three seasons (UAB - 2016-2017, Marquette 2017-18).

Lindenwood Notes
• Brad Newman led Lindenwood in scoring for the third straight game, and the fifth time in the last six games, following his 18-point effort (7-of-14 FG, 4-of-8 3PFG) on Nov. 19 against Missouri Baptist.

• Newman is currently averaging 17.5 points per game for the Lions, and has scored in double-figures in each of his last 14 games dating back to last season.

• Diego Womack recorded the first double-double of his career on Monday during the win against Missouri Baptist. Womack accounted for 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting, and also grabbed a career-high 13 boards.

• Adam Pohlman equaled a career-high in assists against Missouri Baptist, dishing out 13 helpers in the 17-point win. Pohlman has led the Lions in assists six times this season, and 43 times in his career.

• Pohlman also totaled a team-leading four steals against the Spartans. Pohlman's 11 steals are tied for the lead among all MIAA players.

• Chandler Diekvoss reached double-digit points for the fifth time in the last six games with a 14-point effort against Missouri Baptist. 

• Diekvoss is currently second on the team in scoring (14.6 points per game) and first on the team in rebounding (7.1 rebounds per game).

• Chris King (11.3 points per game) is one of three Lions to average double-digit scoring this season. King had 11 points (3-of-7 3PFG) off of the bench against Missouri Baptist, his sixth game this season with multiple three-pointers made.

• Nicklas Jonsson (2-of-6 3PFG) and Drew Moore (2-of-2 3PFG) each made two shots from three-point territory against Missouri Baptist, helping Lindenwood equal a single-game season-high of 13 makes from beyond the arc.

• Lindenwood outrebounded its opponent for the third straight game and the fifth time overall this season in Monday's win. 

• During its current three-game winning-streak, the Lions are averaging 13 more rebounds than their opponents on a per game basis.

• Following its home game with Culver-Stockton on Friday afternoon, Lindenwood will play five consecutive games on the road, including three contests with nationally-ranked opponents before its next home game on Dec. 19.

• Lindenwood is currently slated to face the top two teams in the country, according to the most recent NABC Coaches Poll, during its next three games. The Lions will face No. 1 Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky. on Nov. 28, and No. 2 Northwest Missouri State
in Maryville, Mo. on Dec. 8.

Scouting the Competition
• As of Nov. 19, Culver-Stockton had a record of 4-2 and 1-1 from within the Heartland Conference to begin the 2018-19 season.

• The Wildcats were scheduled for a game at Graceland in Lamoni, Iowa on Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

• Mike Johnson is the leading scorer for Culver-Stockton through its first six games this season, averaging 21.7 points per game. Johnson is shooting 44.4 percent from the field.

• Johnson also leads the team in rebounding, averaging 7.3 boards per game.

• Illinois State was picked second in the 2018-19 Preseason Missouri Valley Conference Poll, just one season after losing in the MVC Championship game to eventual Final-Four participant Loyola.

• As of Nov. 20, the Redbirds had a record of 3-2. Illinois State spent the three days prior to Thanksgiving playing in the Cayman Islands Classic in George Town, Grand Cayman.
