Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team will play its final road game of the 2018 calendar year on Saturday afternoon versus #10 Florida Southern from Lakeland, Fla.
• Lindenwood's game on Saturday will be its third matchup with a nationally-ranked opponent in its last four games.Â
• Leading up to Saturday, the Lions have faced four nationally-ranked opponents this season, and are currently scheduled for games against three other ranked opponents.
• Saturday will be the first meeting in the all-time series between Lindenwood and Florida Southern.
• Including its exhibition contest with NCAA Division I, Illinois State on Nov. 24, Lindenwood has played five consecutive road games. Counting Saturday's game, the Lions will have played just two of their first 14 contests at Hyland Arena.
• The Lions will begin a four-game homestand from St. Charles, Mo. on Dec. 19 against Judson at 5:00 p.m.

Chris King scored 15 points (4-of-9 FG) off of the bench to lead Lindenwood in scoring during its loss to No. 2 Northwest Missouri on Dec. 8. It was the second time this season that King finished a game as the team's leading-scorer.
• King connected on two of his six three-pointers, marking the eighth time this season he has hit multiple three-pointers in a game. King leads the Lions with 25 made three-point field goals this season.
• King was a perfect five-of-five from the free-throw line against the second-ranked Bearcats. King has made 17 of his 19 free throws this season (89.5 percent).

Brad Newman was Lindenwood's other double-digit scorer against No. 2 Northwest Missouri on Dec. 8. Newman finished the game with 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including three makes from behind the arc.
• Newman ranks 12th in the MIAA in scoring at 16.5 points per game. The senior guard is just 44 points away from becoming the 13th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
• Newman has scored at least 10 points in all but one of Lindenwood's 12 games this season, and has been the team's leading-scorer in seven of those contests.

Diego Womack secured a team-high seven rebounds against No. 2 Northwest Missouri, his fourth time leading the Lions in rebounding this season.
• Womack is currently averaging 6.5 rebounds per game to pace Lindenwood on the glass. Womack ranks 10th in the MIAA in rebounding.

Chandler Diekvoss is right behind Womack in terms of rebounding, averaging 6.3 rebounds per game. Diekvoss has led the Lions in rebounding three times this season, and 35 times during his four-year career.
• Diekvoss is averaging 13.3 points per game through 12 games this season, and ranks eighth all-time in scoring in program history with 1,181 career points.

Adam Pohlman leads the MIAA and is fourth in NCAA Division II with 71 total assists to begin the season. Pohlman is averaging 5.2 assists per game, and has led Lindenwood in assists nine times this season.
• Pohlman ranks ninth in NCAA Division II and third in the MIAA with a 3.94 assist-to-turnover ratio.
• Lindenwood lost the turnover battle for just the third time this season at No. 2 Northwest Missouri. The Lions rank sixth in the MIAA with a +2.00 turnover margin.
• Lindenwood is 6-1 this season when it outrebounds the opponent. The Lions are 0-3 when having less rebounds.
Scouting the Competition
• Florida Southern enters Saturday's matchup with a 6-1 record, and a 2-0 mark from within the Sunshine State Conference.
• The Mocs are ranked as the No. 10 team in NCAA Division II, according to the NABC Poll.
• Florida Southern advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament in 2017-18. The Mocs finished the season with a 21-11 overall record.
• In its most recent game on Dec. 5, Florida Southern posted an 81-70 victory over Embry-Riddle.
• The Mocs are led offensively by the duo of Jonathan Lawton and Brett Hanson. Lawton leads the team in scoring, averaging 18.1 points per game. Hanson ranks just behind Lawton, scoring 16.3 points per game.
• Hanson also leads Florida Southern in rebounding, securing 7.6 rebounds per game.
• Florida Southern is 2-0 on its home court this season, and finished with a 14-3 record from Jenkins Fieldhouse last year.
