Men's Basketball Has Final Regular Season Road Game At Lincoln

Tuesday's Game At A Glance
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team has the back end of its home-and-home series with Lincoln on Tuesday night in Jefferson City, Mo. Tipoff for the MIAA contest will be 7:30 p.m.
 
• Lincoln won the first game of the series with a 67-64 win last Saturday in St. Charles, Mo. The Lions led by six at halftime, but the Blue Tigers held Lindenwood to just 30.4 percent shooting in the second half as they came-from-behind for the win.
 
• Lindenwood was led in that game by Adam Pohlman who had 12 points, six rebounds, and seven assists.  Lincoln received a big game from Amariontez Ivory who had 20 points, and Terrance Smith led the Blue Tigers with 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.
 
• After Saturday's game, Lindenwood fell to 14-10 on the season and 6-9 in MIAA, while Lincoln improved to 13-11 overall and 7-8 in conference action. Lindenwood is currently tenth in the conference standings, but it is just one game out of sixth place with four regular season games remaining.
 
• Lindenwood leads the all-time series against Lincoln by an 11-7 margin, including an 8-4 mark since the Lions joined the MIAA. In Jefferson City, Lindenwood has a narrow 4-3 lead against the Blue Tigers.
 
Lindenwood Notes
• Tuesday's game is Lindenwood's final regular season road contest of the season. The Lions are currently 6-5 in true road games, and they will have their second straight season with a .500 or better record on the road. Lindenwood is 21-19 (.525) in road games in three seasons under Lance Randall, compared to the program's 13-24 (.351) record in the three seasons before he came to St. Charles.
 
• Lindenwood is averaging 71.1 points on the road this season, and it is shooting 45.1 percent from the field, 35.2 percent from three-point range, and 74 percent from the free-throw line.
 
• Brad Newman has been the top scorer in road games this season, averaging 16.7 points a game. Jackson Price had made 41.6 percent of his three-point shots on the road, and is averaging 14.2 points a game. Chandler Diekvoss is also averaging double-figures on the road with 13.9 points a contest.
 
• Lindenwood is second in the MIAA in fewest fouls called on the season. The Lions have been whistled just 397 times this season, or 16.5 times a game.


• The Lions ranks eighth in the nation by turning the ball over just 9.8 times a game. They are second in the MIAA in that category, as well as assist-to-turnover ratio (1.35).

• Adam Pohlman has recorded seven assists in each of his last three games, and has just five turnovers in that span. He is averaging 5.5 assists a game in MIAA games, and leads the conference with a 3.9 assist-to-turnover ratio in that span.
 
• Adam Pohlman's scoring has also increased lately. He has scored in double-figures in four out of the last five games. In that span, he is averaging 13.6 points a game, and is shooting 56.8 percent from the field.
 
• Drew Moore had one of his top games in MIAA action versus Lincoln with seven points, five rebounds, and two blocks in 21 minutes of playing time. He had a team-high +9 plus/minus versus the Blue Tigers.
 
• Brad Newman and Chandler Diekvoss are both averaging over 14 points a game on the season. The last time two Lions averaged 14 or more points a game for the year was in 2013-14 with Darris Smith and Tyler Ressel.
 
• Dominique Dobbs has made 57 percent of his field-goal attempts this season. In his career, the sophomore has made 57.9 percent of his shots, which would be a new school record if he continues that pace throughout his career.
 
A Look At The Blue Tigers
• Lincoln is 7-3 in its last ten conference games, with all three losses coming against top-four teams in the league.
 
• The Blue Tigers are 6-3 at home this season, including four wins in their last five home contests. Lincoln ends the regular season with four consecutive contests at Jason Gym.
 
• Terrance Smith leads the team with 15.2 points a game, and he is one of five players averaging double-figure points. The other are Amariontez Ivory (14.8), John Burton (13.0), Maurice Mason (11.1), and Marquise Williams (10.2).
 
• Marquise Williams leads the team with 8.8 rebounds a game, and Calivn Chambers has a team-high 4.0 assist a game. Other team leaders include John Burton with 70 three-pointers, Terrance Smith with 17 blocks, and Chambers with 24 steals.
