Thursday's Game At A Glance
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team looks to play the role of spoiler on Thursday night at Hyland Arena when it faces No. 10 Northwest Missouri at 7:30 p.m. The Bearcats are looking to clinch at least a share of the MIAA Championship, while the Lions are looking for one of their biggest wins in program history.

• Lindenwood picked up a big victory last Saturday with a 56-52 win over Central Missouri. The win improved the team to 15-11 on the season and 7-10 in MIAA action.

• Northwest Missouri will come to St. Charles after losing to Missouri Southern last weekend by a 73-70 score. The Bearcats are 22-3 on the season and 14-3 in conference action.

• Northwest Missouri leads the all-time series with Lindenwood by a 12-1 margin, including a 3-1 record in Hyland Arena. The Lions lone victory in the series was by a 68-52 score during the 2015-16 season. The Bearcats have won five straight against Lindenwood since that game.

• Northwest Missouri won the first game this season against the Lions by a 78-58 score. The Bearcats shot nearly 60 percent from the field, compared to 39.3 percent from the field.

Adam Pohlman had nine points and seven assists.

Lindenwood Notes
• Lindenwood clinched a winning season with its victory over Central Missouri. It is the program's fourth straight winning season, and ninth over the last ten years. Prior to that run, Lindenwood only had eight winning seasons from 1970-2008.

• The Lions also clinched a spot in the MIAA Tournament. They have reached the tournament every year since first being eligible for the event in the 2013-14 season.

• Lindenwood is currently tenth in the MIAA standings, just half a game behind Pittsburg State. The Lions still have a shot at moving up to eighth, which could give the team a home game in the first round of the conference tournament.

• Lindenwood held Central Missouri to just 52 points last Saturday. It was the fewest points that the team has allowed in a game this season, and the sixth time the Lions held a team under 60 points.
• Lindenwood ranks 31st in NCAA Division II with a +2.9 turnover margin, and it is third in the MIAA in that category. The Lions have more turnovers than their opponents in just five games this year.

• In their last three home games, the Lions are holding opponents to just 27.5 percent shooting from three-point range (19-of-69).

Chandler Diekvoss enters play this week needing just 18 points to enter Lindenwood's 1,000-point club. He will be the 12th member, and the first junior with 1,000 points since Richard Rose in 2011.

Brad Newman leads the team in scoring with 14.5 points a game, 0.1 more than
Chandler Diekvoss. Newman has led the team in scoring in 10 games this season, and Diekvoss has led the squad in nine contests.

Adam Pohlman is third in NCAA Division II this week with a 3.69 assist-to-turnover ratio. He leads the MIAA by 0.6 over Northwest Missouri's Justin Pitts. Pohlman also ranks fifth in the MIAA with 4.5 assists a game, and is second with 1.7 steals a game.

Brad Newman ranks 17th in NCAA Division II with a .898 free-throw percentage. He is third in the MIAA in that category. Newman is shooting 91.5 percent in the final five minutes of the game.

Jackson Price is fourth in the league with 2.5 three-pointers a game. He is shooting just under 40 percent from behind the arc in conference contests.

A Look At The Bearcats
• Northwest Missouri is ranked 10th in the nation in the most recent coaches poll, and is fighting for the No. 1 spot in the region. The Bearcats have a half-game lead in the MIAA standings with two games left.

• The Bearcats have the top defense in the country, allowing just 59 points a game. Offensively, Northwest Missouri leads NCAA Division II by turning the ball over just 8.8 times a game.

• Justin Pitts is one of the top players in the country. He averages 19.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals a game. He shoots 52.2 percent from the field, 41.8 percent from three-point range, and 89.8 percent from the free-throw line.
