Saturday's Game At A Glance
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team ends its regular season this Saturday at home against Missouri Western. The two teams will tip off at 3:30 p.m. in Hyland Arena. Both teams have a lot to play for, as Lindenwood looks for momentum heading into the MIAA Tournament, and the Griffons are looking to snag the final spot in the conference tournament.

• Lindenwood enters the game with a 15-12 overall record, and it is 7-11 in conference play. The Lions fell to No. 10 Northwest Missouri on Thursday night by a 67-60 score.

• Missouri Western earned an 82-73 road victory over Lincoln on Thursday night. The Griffons improved their record to 6-19 overall and 4-14 in conference play.

• Lindenwood holds a 7-3 all-time series lead over Missouri Western. The Lions have never lost to the Griffons at Hyland Arena, as they have won all four showdowns.

• Missouri Western won the first meeting with the Lions earlier this season by a 63-51 margin. The Griffons shot over 50 percent from the field, and outrebounded Lindenwood by nine boards.

Lindenwood Notes
• Lindenwood clinched a winning season with its victory over Central Missouri. It is the program's fourth straight winning season, and ninth over the last ten years. Prior to that run, Lindenwood only had eight winning seasons from 1970-2008.

• The Lions also clinched a spot in the MIAA Tournament. They have reached the tournament every year since first being eligible for the event in the 2013-14 season.

• Lindenwood is currently tenth in the MIAA standings, one game behind Pittsburg State. The Lions will be the ten-seed in the conference tournament, and will travel to either Nebraska-Kearney, Fort Hays State, or Lincoln.

• In its last 10 games, Lindenwood has held eight of those opponents to 70 points or less. The Lions are 14-3 this year when holding teams under this mark.
• In the latest national rankings, Lindenwood was 12th in NCAA Division II in fewest turnovers per game (9.9), 39th in turnover margin (2.6), 47th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.27), and 47th in scoring defense (69.4).

• Saturday's contest will be Senior Day for the men's basketball program. This season, it will honor its lone senior,
Landon Mills, who has been with the program since the 2013-14 season. Mills is from Troy, Mo., and Troy Buchanan High School.

Landon Mills has played in 57 games for the Lions. He has scored 107 points, and collected 68 rebounds and 25 assists. Forty-three of his appearances have come in the last two seasons, including four starts, when he has been a key player off the bench.

Chandler Diekvoss entered Lindenwood's 1,000-point club last Thursday against Northwest Missouri. He scored 21 points against the Bearcats, and now has 1,003 points for his career. He is the 12th Lion to score 1,000 career points, and the first junior to enter since Richard Rose in 2011.

Chandler Diekvoss has scored 883 points over the last two seasons. He is averaging 15.0 points over those two years, and is shooting 53.2 percent from the field in that span.

Jackson Price has made multiple three-pointers in four out of the last contests, and he is shooting over 40 percent from beyond the arc in those four games.

A Look At The Griffons
• Missouri Western is making a late run for a spot in the MIAA Tournament. It has won three games in February, and is currently in a three-way tie for the final spot in the conference tournament.

• Defense has led the Griffons in their improved play recently. In their three February wins, they are allowing 61.7 points a game, and have not allowed more than 73 points in those contests.

• Lavon Hightower leads Missouri Western in scoring with 15.9 points a game. He is shooting 51.1 percent from the field, and he also has a team-high 5.6 rebounds a game.

• The Griffons have balanced scoring after Hightower, with five players averaging between six and eight points. Cole Clearman averages 7.9 points a game, and he leads the team with 44 three-pointers.
