Men's Basketball Starts Home-And-Home Series On Saturday at Hyland Arena

Saturday's Game At A Glance
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team has a home-and-home series against Lincoln over a four-day period. The first game will take place on Saturday in Hyland Arena at 3:30 p.m. The series will be a key one as both teams are currently in a four-way tie for seventh-place in the MIAA.
 
• Lindenwood is looking to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to No. 6 Northwest Missouri last Saturday. That loss dropped the team to 14-9 on the season, and 6-8 in conference play.
 
• Lincoln has won four out of its last five contests, including a road victory over Missouri Western last weekend. The Blue Tigers are 12-11 overall and 6-8 in MIAA action.
 
• Lindenwood leads the all-time series against Lincoln by an 11-6 margin, including an 8-3 mark since the Lions joined the MIAA. In St. Charles, Lindenwood leads the all-time series 7-3 in games played in St. Charles, Mo.
 
• The Lions and Blue Tigers met three times last season, with Lindenwood winning two of the meetings. Lindenwood swept the regular season series, winning 76-67 in Jefferson City and 73-61 in St. Charles. Lincoln won the MIAA Tournament first-round matchup between the two by a 72-61 score in St. Charles.
 
Lindenwood Notes
• Lindenwood is ranked second in the MIAA and eighth in NCAA Division II in fewest turnovers per game. The Lions are turning it over just 9.8 times a game. Against Northwest Missouri, Lindenwood had just six turnovers, its second-fewest total of the year.
 
• The Lions are also ranked 24th nationally in turnover margin (+3.4), and they are 31st in NCAA Division II in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.36). They are ranked second in the MIAA in assist-to-turnover ratio, and third in turnover margin.
 
• Lindenwood has made 185 three-pointers this season. It needs just 15 more to reach 200 for the fifth straight season. The Lions are on pace to finish among the top-six teams in school history in made three-pointers for a season.
 
• Lindenwood is 13-4 this season when scoring 69 or more points. It is just 1-5 when having less than 69 on the scoreboard. The Lions have scored 69 or more points in eight of their ten games this season at Hyland Arena.


• In its two-game road trip last week, Lindenwood took just 13 free throws, compared to 31 for its opponents. Lindenwood is 2-6 this season when it attempts less free throws in a game, and it is 12-3 when having more free-throw attempts.

• Chandler Diekvoss led Lindenwood in points and rebounds last time out against Northwest Missouri. It was the eighth time this season that he was the team leader in both categories, including the second time in the last three games.
 
• Adam Pohlman averaged 7.0 assists per game in last week's road trip. He is now averaging 4.6 assists a game, which would rank third in school history for a season. He has recorded 100 or more assists in both of his seasons, and is eighth in program history with 206 assists.
 
• Luka Radosevic started his first collegiate game against Northwest Missouri and tied for the team-high with five rebounds. On the season, he is averaging 10.0 rebounds per 40 minutes of playing time, the highest mark among regulars. A total of 46.9 percent of his rebounds have come on offense.
 
• Brad Newman has missed just one free throw since Dec. 16, and is shooting 97.6 percent from the line in that span. On the season, Newman is shooting 91.2 percent from the free-throw line, which ranks 12th in NCAA Division II.
 
• Jackson Price is sixth in the MIAA with 2.4 made three-pointers a game. He has made at least one three-pointer in 19 of 22 games this season, and has nine games with three or more made three-pointers.
 
A Look At The Blue Tigers
• Lincoln has been climbing the MIAA standings after a slow start. The Blue Tigers are 6-3 in their last nine conference games, with all three losses to top-four teams in the league.
 
• Lincoln is one of the top three-point shooting teams in the conference. The Blue Tigers rank 11th nationally with a .412 three-point percentage, and is 37th with 9.7 made three-pointers a game. John Burton leads the team with 70 three-pointers, followed by 59 from Amariontez Ivory. Both players are shooting around 46 percent from behind the arc.
 
• Terrance Smith leads the team with 15.2 points a game. He is one of five players who average double-figure points.
 
• Marquise Williams leads the team with 8.8 rebounds a game. Lincoln has a +4.0 rebounding margin for the season, which ranks third in the league.
