The Lindenwood cross country teams competed at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday afternoon.
 
The men's team finished the event (8 km) in 15^th place out of 45 teams with a final time of 2:12:19.90 (Average time per runner: 26:27.38)
 
Austin Crowe was the best individual runner for the Lions, finishing in 34^th place with a final time of 25:30.2. Other notable runners include Ero Doce (37^th place, final time: 25:32.5) and Jerod Broadbrooks (42^nd place, final time: 25:38.3).
 
The women's team finished the event (5 km) in 32^nd out of 51 teams with a final time of 1:44:42 (Average time per runner: 20:55).
 
Najwa Chouati finished the race in 94^th place with a final time of 19:06.4. 
 
Both teams will be back in action on October 6^th as they head out to Romeoville, IL to take on Lewis University.
