Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team begins its final road stretch of the 2018-19 season on Thursday evening in Hays, Kan. The Lions will take on the Fort Hays State Tigers at 7:30 p.m. from Gross Memorial Coliseum.
• Lindenwood will follow up its game in Hays, Kan. with road games in Kearney, Neb. on Feb. 16 and in Jefferson City, Mo. on Feb. 19.
• The Lions arrive in Hays, Kan. looking to snap a season-long five-game losing skid. Lindenwood has lost three of those five contests by single-digit margins. Of the team's 14 losses this season, 10 have been decided by less than 10 points.
• Lindenwood and Fort Hays State have met eight times since the start of the 2012-13 season. The Lions own a 5-3 edge in the all-time series, and have won four of previous five regular season meetings.
• Fort Hays State has prevailed in three of the four all-time meetings at Gross Memorial Coliseum. Lindenwood's lone victory in Hays, Kan. came on Jan. 28, 2017.
• Lindenwood suffered a 71-65 loss to Fort Hays State in the first round of last season's MIAA Tournament.

Chandler Diekvoss led all scorers with 27 points (10-of-15 FG, 7-of-9 FT) on Feb. 9 versus Missouri Western.
• Diekvoss' 27-point effort was the eighth time this season that he had surpassed the 20-point plateau in a game for the Lions. Diekvoss has led Lindenwood in scoring eight times in 2018-19.
• Diekvoss is averaging 15.2 points per game this season for the Lions, the second-highest scoring average on the team. Diekvoss is 16th in the MIAA in scoring.
• Diekvoss collected a team-leading eight rebounds in the game against Missouri Western, the 11th time this season that he has paced the Lions on the glass.
• Diekvoss leads Lindenwood in rebounding for the season, securing an average of 6.7 rebounds per game. Diekvoss currently ranks eighth in the MIAA in total rebounding.

Brad Newman totaled 25 points (6-11 FG, 4-of-5 3PFG, 9-10 FT) on Feb, 9 against Missouri Western. Newman has now scored in double figures in all but one game this season, and has eclipsed the 20-point mark on 13 different occasions in 2018-19.
• Newman knocked down four three-point field goals on just five attempts from behind the arc against Missouri Western. It was the sixth time this season that Newman has finished a game with at least four made three-pointers in a game. Newman leads the Lions in three-point shooting with 49 makes from three-point territory.
• Newman is averaging a team-leading 21.0 points per game this season, which ranks fifth in the MIAA. In 13 games against MIAA opponents, Newman is averaging a conference-leading 24.4 points per game.

Diego Womack continued his impressive shooting efficiency on Feb. 9 against Missouri Western. Womack finished the game with 14 points (7-11 FG), his 12th double-digit game of the season.
• Womack currently leads Lindenwood in field-goal percentage, connecting on 57.3 percent (90-of-157) of his attempts this season. Diekvoss ranks second on the team in field-goal percentage at 54.2 percent (142-of-262).

Adam Pohlman dished out a game-high 10 assists in the game against Missouri Western on Feb. 9. For Pohlman, it was the 21st time this season that he led the team in assists, and the second time that he did so with double-digit assists.
• Pohlman is currently third in the MIAA in assists per game (4.9) and second in the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.5). Pohlman currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division II in the category.
• Lindenwood hit 83.3 percent (20-of-24) of its free throws in the game against Missouri Western, marking the team's most efficient shooting performance from the charity stripe this season with a minimum of 20 attempts.
• The Lions are 7-4 this season when making more free throws than their opponents.
Scouting the Competition
• Fort Hays State enters Thursday's matchup with a record of 14-8 and an 8-5 mark from within the MIAA.
• The Tigers are currently in fifth place in the MIAA standings, and sit just one game behind fourth-place, Lincoln.
• Fort Hays State is led by head coach, Mark Johnson who is in his 18th season at the helm for the Tigers. Johnson is the program's all-time leader in wins with 355.
• Fort Hays State was picked 7th in the 2018-19 MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll. The Tigers finished the 2017-18 campaign with a 19-12 record and a 10-9 mark from within the MIAA.
• The Tigers have an impressive 11-1 record on their home court this season, including a 5-1 record against MIAA competition.
• In its most recent game on Feb. 9, Fort Hays State dropped a 78-66 decision at Missouri Southern.
• Brady Werth leads the Tigers in scoring (15.9 points per game) and rebounding (6.6 rebounds per game) this season. Against MIAA opponents this season, Werth is averaging 16.5 points per game.
