Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team returns home to St. Charles, Mo. for a two-game stretch beginning on Thursday evening. The Lions will host the No. 1 Northwest Missouri Bearcats from Hyland Arena at 7:30 p.m.
• On Dec. 8, 2018, Lindenwood and Northwest Missouri met in Maryville, Mo. The second-ranked Bearcats won the meeting by a final score of 87-53.
• Since Lindenwood joined the MIAA prior to the start of the 2012-13 season, Northwest Missouri owns a 12-1 advantage in the series history. The Bearcats have a 15-1 edge in the all-time series dating back to 1984-85.
• In its most recent game at Washburn on Feb. 2, Lindenwood dropped an 84-77 decision from Topeka, Kan. The Lions outshot and out-rebounded the Ichabods during the game, but were unable to translate their statistical success into a road win.
• Lindenwood is 5-3 during its eight home games this year. The Lions are scoring 82.2 points per game at home, five points higher than their per-game season average.
• Over the last six seasons, Lindenwood has played to a 59-29 record inside Hyland Arena.

Chandler Diekvoss led the way offensively for the Lions on Feb. 2 at Washburn. Diekvoss scored a team-high 23 points (8-of-10 FG, 7-of-8 FT).Â
• Diekvoss' 23-point effort marked the seventh time this season that he surpassed the 20-point plateau and also the seventh time this season that he has led the team in scoring.
• Diekvoss is hitting 53.9 percent of his shots this season, which ranks sixth in the MIAA among qualified shooters (min. 5.0 FGM/G).
• Diekvoss was just one rebound shy of recording his team-leading sixth double-double of the season. Diekvoss finished the game at Washburn with a team-high nine rebounds.
• Diekvoss has led Lindenwood in rebounding on 10 separate occasions this season, and his average of 6.8 rebounds per game are tied for the sixth most in the MIAA.

Brad Newman scored 18 points at Washburn, his 21st double-digit scoring performance of the season. Newman was 2-of-7 from three-point range, the 14th time this season he has knocked down multiple three-point field goals in a game.
• Newman leads Lindenwood and is fifth in the MIAA in scoring at 21.0 points per game. In his 11 games against MIAA opponents this season, Newman is averaging a conference-high 25.0 points per game.
• Newman has 1,209 points in his career, and is just five points away from moving into sole possession of eighth place on Lindenwood's all-time scoring list. Diekvoss is currently fifth on the all-time scoring list with 1,372 points,

TJ Crockett came off of the bench at Washburn to score a season-high 18 points ((5-of-8 FG, 2-of-4 3PFG, and 6-of-6 FT).
• Crockett scored 15 of his 18 points during the second half, including a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line, to help keep the Lions within striking distance of Washburn.

Adam Pohlman leads Lindenwood and is tied for fifth in the MIAA in assists this season. Pohlman is averaging 4.7 assists per game.

Dominique Dobbs blocked one shot in the game at Washburn, moving him one block ahead of
Diego Womack on the season. Dobbs is currently averaging 0.8 blocks per game, while Womack is at 0.7 blocks per game.Â
• Dobbs is tied for 14th in the MIAA in blocks per game, and Womack is tied for 17th.
• Lindenwood made 19 of its 24 free throws at Washburn on Feb. 2, while the Ichabods made 14 of their 18 attempts Entering the game, the Lions had a record of 8-2 when attempting more free throws than their opponents, and 7-2 when making more free throws.
Scouting the Competition
• Northwest Missouri enters Saturday's matchup with a perfect 21-0 record, and an 11-0 mark from within the MIAA.
• The Bearcats are ranked as the No. 1 team in NCAA Division II according to the NABC Poll.
• Northwest Missouri was tabbed as the favorite in the 2018-19 MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll, released in October.
• The Bearcats finished the 2017-18 season with a 27-4 record, and advanced to the NCAA Division II National Tournament for the fifth consecutive season.
• In its most recent game on Thursday evening, Northwest Missouri defeated Lincoln, 85-78, from Bearcat Arena. Trevor Hudgins led the team with 22 points.
• Northwest Missouri boasts four scorers averaging at least double-digit points this season. Joey Witthus is the team's leading scorer, averaging 21.2 points per game. Witthus is shooting 50.4 percent from three-point range.
• Ryan Hawkins has paced Northwest Missouri in rebounding, averaging 9.5 boards per game. Hawkins is averaging 15.7 points per game.
