Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team will wrap up a two-game homestand from inside Hyland Arena on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. The Lions will host the Missouri Western Griffons as the two teams conclude their regular-season series.
• On Dec. 6, 2018, Lindenwood traveled to St. Joseph, Mo. for its first MIAA contest of the season against Missouri Western. The Lions secured a 17-point road victory over the Griffons, winning the game by a final score of 75-58.
• Lindenwood has won nine of the previous 12 meetings with Missouri Western during the all-time series dating back to the start of the 2012-13 season.
• The Lions own a 5-0 record over the Griffons inside Hyland Arena, including an 88-70 triumph on their home court last season. Lindenwood has won two consecutive games over Missouri Western, and has posted victories in four of the last five meetings overall.
• After winning back-to-back games in late January over Southwest Baptist and Central Missouri, Lindenwood has dropped four consecutive games. In their most recent game on Feb. 7, the Lions suffered a 72-41 setback against No. 1 Northwest Missouri.

Brad Newman paced the Lion offense with a 17-point effort against No. 1 Northwest Missouri on Feb. 7. Newman connected on 7-of-18 from the field en route to his 22nd double-digit scoring performance of the season.
• Newman has led the Lions in scoring 14 times this season and leads the team in scoring this season with an average of 20.8 points per game.Â
• Newman's 20.8 points per game this season ranks fifth in the MIAA. In his 12 games against MIAA opponents, Newman is averaging a conference-leading 24.3 points per game.
• Back on Dec. 6, 2018 against Missouri Western, Newman scored a game-high 30 points, helping guide the Lions to a 17-point victory. Newman's 30-point effort was his first of three games this season with at least 30 points scored.

Dominique Dobbs collected a season-high eight rebounds on Feb. 7 to lead the Lions on the glass. Dobbs has led Lindenwood in rebounding three times this season and 29 times in his career.

TJ Crockett entered the starting lineup for the first time this season against No. 1 Northwest Missouri on Feb. 7. Overall, Crockett has started three games in his collegiate career.
• Crockett matched a career-high with 27 minutes played in Thursday's game. Crockett hit his only field-goal attempt of the evening, and finished the game with four points.

Cameron Scales made his Lindenwood debut on Feb. 7, playing in the final three minutes of the game. Scales knocked down the only shot he attempted, a three-pointer, to finish the game with three points.

Adam Pohlman dished out a team-high three assists on Feb. 7, the 20th time this season that he has led the way for the Lions in the category.
• Pohlman is averaging a team-high 4.7 assists per game this season, which ranks fifth in the MIAA. Pohlman is fourth in the MIAA in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.2.

Diego Womack hit two of his four shots in the game against No. 1 Northwest Missouri, which he finished with five total points.Â
• For the season, Womack has connected on a team-leading 56.8 percent of his field-goal attempts (83-of-146).
Chandler Diekvoss ranks second on the team in field-goal percentage at 53.4 percent (132-of-247).
• As a team, Lindenwood finished the game against No. 1 Northwest Missouri with a season-low 41 points. The last time Lindenwood scored 41 or fewer points was on Jan. 13, 2016 at Central Missouri when it also finished a game with 41 points, a stretch of 99 games.
• Lindenwood owns an 8-3 record this season when leading its opponent at the half.
• The Lions are 10-3 this season when outrebounding their opponents this season.
Scouting the Competition
• Missouri Western enters Saturday's matchup with a record of 10-13 and a 4-8 mark from within the MIAA.
• The Griffons are currently in a four-way tie in the conference standings with their record of 4-8. Missouri Western, Central Missouri, Emporia State, and Lindenwood all hold identical conference records.
• Missouri Western is led by first-year head coach, Sundance Wicks, who took over the program in March of 2018.
• The Griffons are led offensively by senior forward, Lavon Hightower. Hightower leads Missouri Western in points (19.4 ppg) and rebounds (7.4 rpg) this season.
• Bryan Hudson (14.0 ppg), Tyrell Carroll (13.0 ppg), and Tyus Millhollin (10.5 ppg) are the other Griffon scorers to average double-digit points to begin the season.
• Hightower was an all-MIAA honorable mention selection in 2017-18.
• The Griffons finished the 2017-18 campaign with a 6-21 record, and a 4-15 mark from within the MIAA.
