Lindenwood Athletics has officially announced its plans to host the first-ever Lions' Late Night event on Wednesday, October 16 from 9:00-11:00 p.m. inside Hyland Arena, with doors opening at 8:30 p.m. The event will take place during the first week of official practices for the Lindenwood men's and women's basketball teams to begin 2019-20 season.

Lions' Late Night will open with a pep rally style event recognizing the achievements of several of Lindenwood's fall sports. Following the recognition of those fall programs, the 2019-20 Lindenwood men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced to the crowd for the first time.

After the introductions are completed, the men's and women's basketball teams will participate in a series of competitions, including a three-point shootout, skills challenge relay race, and more.

The event will also feature performances by the Lindenwood band, cheer, and dance teams.

The first 350 fans to arrive will receive a free Lions' Late Night t-shirt. Additionally, the first 100 students to enter Hyland Arena will receive a coupon for a free medium pizza from Papa John's. All students who attend Lions' Late Night will receive a raffle ticket and be entered into a drawing to take a half-court shot for a 50' TV, which will be the evening's final event.

The Lindenwood women's team will have its home opener on Nov. 13 versus Pittsburg State, while the men's team will open up at Hyland Arena the following day against William Woods on Nov. 14.
