The Lindenwood cross country teams competed at the GLVC West Divisional on Friday in Elsah, Ill. Najwa Chouati paced the women's squad, finishing 7th overall with a time of 23:24.70 in the 6k event, as the team finished 4th among seven teams with a score of 95. On the men's side, Louis Moreau helped lead the team to a first-place finish in the 8k race, as he finished No. 1 with a time of 25:59.13.
 
RECAPPING THE RUNNERS FOR THE WOMEN

• Najwa Chouati led the women's team, finishing 7th, with a time of 23:24.70. She has finished in the top-7 in both events to begin the season.
• Rachael Morrison, finishing second on the team for the second-straight race, recorded a time of 24:04.65 in the 6k.
• Kirsten Huffman (25:35.04) and Courtney Reid (25:35.04) each finished in the top-25 in the event. Nadia Pulliam finished 32nd
• Athena Viers (26:45.52) and Sydney Reid (26:46.22) finished 44th and 45th, respectively, for Lindenwood. Emma Leach finished in 61st with a time of 29:23.95.

 
RECAPPING THE RUNNERS FOR THE MEN

• Louis Moreau finished first for the men, with a time of 25:59.13 in the 8k. He has finished first in two-straight events to begin his Lindenwood career. Bramwell Havi also finished in the top-3 for the Lions, as he recorded a time of 26:47.53.
• Ben Stasney and Edward Kipruto each finished in the top-10, with times of 27:06.41 and 27:27.17, respectively.
• Timothy Maxwell (28:49.93) finished 31st, Matt Case (31:03.84) came in 52nd, Benjamin Evers (31:39.86) finished 56th, and William Wallis (33:04.32) was 58th to round out the final four runners for the Lions on the men's side.
