The Lions faced GLVC competition in Drury and McKendree on Saturday at the Lindenwood Tri-Meet in St. Peters, Mo. Both the men's and women's squads split their dual contests on the day.
MEN'S OVERVIEW
The men's squad fell to McKendree, 178-120, before earning a dual win over Drury, 167.5-131.5.
MEN'S TOP FINISHERS
- Noah Boyd (1st) and David Molina-Fregenal (2nd) were the top finishers in the 1 Meter Dive.
- Molina-Fregenal also notched 1st place in the 3 Meter Dive for Lindenwood.
- Vincent Jaworski and Matheo Mateos-Mongelos finished 1st and 2nd, respectively, in the 500 Yard Free.
- Mateos-Mongelos raced to a 1st place finish in the 200 Yard IM (1:53.72).
- Mateos-Mongelos, Jerry Brown, Elliott Irwin, and Zach Linder tied for 2nd in the 400 Yard Medley Relay after tallying a time of 3:21.94.
- Jaworski raced to 2nd place in the 200 Yard Free after tallying a finals time of 1:41.77.
- Patryk Winiatowski culminated the 200 Yard Butterfly with a 2nd place finish (1:54.89).
- Brown also finished 2nd in the 200 Yard Breaststroke.
WOMEN'S OVERVIEW
The women's team split its dual matches on the day with a win over McKendree, 203.5-93.5, before suffering a defeat to Drury, 190-108.
WOMEN'S TOP FINISHERS
- Beata Maruszczyk tallied a 1st place finish in the 100 Yard Breast (1:06.28).
- Elle Christie tallied a 1st place dive in the 1 Meter (290.70). Christie also finished in 1st in the 3 Meter Dive.
- Stephanie Marks, Joselle Mensah, McKayla Siemiller and Marit de Lau finished 2nd in the 400 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 3:55.98.
- Camilla Rimmereide finished 2nd in the 200 Yard Free (1:56.58).
- Marks and Shelby Kasse finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the 100 Yard Backstroke for the Lions.
- Kasse also notched a 2nd place finish in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:07.98.
- Linsey Watson put together a time of 5:13.58 in the 500 Yard Free, good for 2nd place.
