Two Lindenwood riders made the podium in the Men's Cat A Dual Slalom event on Saturday at the High Country Collegiate Mountain Bike Challenge, hosted by Lee's McRae College October 2-3 in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
Grant Lampson won the competition while
Joey Leto finished third.
Jack Bledsoe took 19th in the Men's Cat B Dual Slalom.
Despite traveling with a smaller contingent of cyclists, the Lions still made impacts in several other events over the weekend.
Aunika Kemp finished 14th in the Women's Cat A Cross Country race, also held Saturday. She was followed by
Aubrey Drummond in 16th and
Ella Dishong in 23rd.
In the Men's Cat C Cross Country event,
Marnus Prinsloo was the top Lindenwood rider in sixth.
The first race on Sunday was the Team Relay where the Lions finished eighth. Drummond took 13th in the Cat A Women's Short Track Cross Country race and Prinsloo took 16th in the Cat C Men's Short Track race. In the final events of the weekend, Lampson was the top Lindenwood rider in the Men's Cat A Downhill competition. He finished ninth with a time of 1:47.5.
