Cycling Takes Third in Team Omnium at BMX Nationals

Mekenna Martin and Cooper Bromley Earn Top-10 Finishes Individually

The cycling team took third place in the Team Omnium at the 2024 USA Cycling Collegiate BMX National Championships March 1-3 in Springfield, Missouri.

Mekenna Martin led the Lions individually, taking fourth overall in the Women's Individual Omnium with 128 points, just two points behind second place. Cooper Bromley was the high Lindenwood rider in the Men's Individual Omnium with a ninth-place finish.

Lily Campbell (81 points), Florencia Haupt (60 points), and Layla Massey (58 points) also posted solid performances in women's competition while Zack Day (70 points) and Nicklas Haugen (46 points) had strong showings in the men's competition.

The third-place finish at BMX Nationals puts the cycling program in third overall for the Team Omnium in all five major disciplines.

The next event for the Lions is the Tour of St. Louis March 23-24. The final national championship of the season will be the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships May 1-5 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
