Women's ACHA ice hockey fell to No. 2 ranked Adrian College 3-1 Saturday night at the Arrington Ice Arena in Adrian, Michigan.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period and held it through the second and into the third. That's when
Risa Shatford made it 2-1 to keep the Lions in the game. As time was running down, head coach
Andrew Miller pulled goalie
Emily McDonald for the extra attacker to try to tie the contest, but Adrian took control of the puck and finished off Lindenwood with an empty-netter.
McDonald stopped 28 of the 30 shots she faced for the Lions, who fell to 11-3-1 overall. They'll try to salvage a split in the series finale at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Arrington Ice Arena.
