The Lindenwood woman's hockey team (2-8-1, 2-8-1 CHA) fell to Syracuse (4-8-1, 3-6-1 CHA) by a score of 4-1 on Friday night despite a season-high 42 saves from

GAME OVERVIEW
The opening period was an even one as each team generated scoring chances. Syracuse directed 25 shots toward the Lindenwood net, while the Lions compiled 13.
Lokelani Antonio had the best chance of the period at the 5:17 mark of the period, but the Syracuse netminder made the stop. A little over five minutes later, the Orange would get on the board and take a 1-0 lead, which they would take into the first intermission.

The Lions made some adjustments during the break and picked up the pace of play in the second period. Lindenwood compiled 11 shots on the Orange net, including the equalizer when
Megan Wagner's wrist shot found the back of the net. After the goal, Lindenwood continued the hot stretch with a couple powerplay opportunities but were unable to capitalize. The score would remain 1-1 after 40 minutes of play.

Syracuse controlled much of the play in the third period and would go on to add three goals in the final frame, helping them earn a 4-1 victory. Â
