Heights, Missouri.

In the series opener, a first period goal from the Lions proved to be all that was needed.  It came off the blade of Risa Shatford at the 13:03 mark with help from Dakota McAlpine and Marissa Delry.  The Warriors had opportunities to tie the game on the power play in the third as Lindenwood was called for two penalties.  The first came with 13:10 remaining in regulation, but the Lions killed it off.  The second call came with 2:44 left, but once again, Lindenwood kept Midland from scoring.

The Warriors outshot the Lions 34 to 29, but Emily McDonald stopped all 34 pucks she faced to earn the win in goal for Lindenwood.

In the series finale, a big third period allowed Midland to pull away from the Lions late.  The Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the first two minutes of the contest, but Lindenwood bounced back later in the period with an unassisted effort from Delry at the 12:43 mark.  Both offenses stagnated for the rest of the first and well into the second until the Lions took a 2-1 lead on a goal from Brookelynn Bell off a feed from Kennedy Frank with 5:53 remaining in the second, but that advantage didn't last long.  Midland tied the game 2-2 at the 18:15 mark, then added a pair of even-strength goals in the opening six minutes of the third.  A delay of game penalty on Lindenwood gave the Warriors a power play later in the frame and they essentially put the contest away with 7:12 left in regulation.

Prior to the game on Sunday, the Lions recognized four seniors on Senior Day including Marissa Delry, Lindsay Gillis, Hannah Jensen, and Michaela Read.

With the series split, Lindenwood sits at 10-3-0 overall and 7-3-0 in Women's Midwest College Hockey (WMCH) action.  The Lions return to the ice for single games against McKendree February 26 and Maryville February 28.  The opening faceoff with the Bearcats is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the McKendree Rec-Plex in Lebanon, Illinois, and the puck drop with the Saints Sunday afternoon at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
