Gymnastics Finishes Second at Collegiate National Championships

The Lindenwood gymnastics team finished in second place at the USA Gymnastics Women's Colligate National Championships on Saturday in Cape Girardeau, Mo., compiling a team score of 194.875 coming in just behind SEMO.

INSIDE THE SCORES
- The Lions compiled a 48.950 on bars during the teams first rotation.
- Mitchell led the way for Lindenwood, earning a 9.850.
- Mitchell also paced the Lions on beam, tallying a 9.875, which tied a season-high.
- Lindenwood compiled a score of 48.975 on floor, its second-best event of the day.
- Gayla Griswold led all Lions earning a 9.850 on floor.
- Lindenwood's highest team total came on vault where it earned a 49.150.
- All six Lions earned a 9.800 or better on vault.
- Leman led the way with a 9.850.
- Mitchell also took home the USAG Most Outstanding Senior Award.
