Cycling Adds South African Rider for Spring

Head Coach Julie Carter has announced the addition of Bradley Bosman to the cycling program for the spring 2022 semester.  The Port Elizabeth, South Africa native brings seven years of experience to the team.

Bosman, who has been a part of the Madiba Bay Youth Cycling Club Team and the Africa Silks Bestmed South African National Team, started riding when he did a mountain bike race for fun with his brother.  He is now a South African National Champion and African Continental Champion.

Bosman aspires to earn a podium spot at U.S. Nationals and he lists Siya Kolisi, the South African rugby captain, as his favorite athlete.

"He is very humble and comes from underprivileged conditions, but gives 100 percent effort with everything he does," Bosman said.  "He also attended the same high school as me."

Bosman loves the outdoors and enjoys being among friends and meeting new people. He also has a passion for hunting, fishing, and farming.

He was asked why he chose Lindenwood.

"Out of all the coaches that I had interviews with, Julie was the kindest, most helpful, and accommodating, which made my choice very easy," he said.

Bosman recently graduated from Grey Boys High School.  He arrives as a freshman and will study Business Administration at Lindenwood.
