The Lindenwood men's ice hockey team (0-4-0) will host Air Force (0-1-1. 0-0-0 AHA) this weekend for a two-game series for the first home games as a Division I program. Puck drop in game one is scheduled for 7:10 p.m., while the series finale is set for 2:10 p.m. from Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

The Lions dropped both games of their series against No. 7 Michigan last weekend by scores of 7-4 and 3-1, respectively. Lindenwood scored the opening goal of the game in both contests with the Wolverines. Through four games, Lindenwood has scored four goals in the first period, its most of any frame this season.

For the second-consecutive week,
Hunter Johannes scored a highlight-reel goal, beating the Michigan netminder on a breakaway, which gave Lindenwood an early lead. Johannes is tied for the team lead in goals with two so far this season.

In his first action of the season in game two,
Roni Salmenkangas compiled 38 saves, including 16 in the first period. The native of Finland finished the contest with a .927 save percentage.

Ryan Finnegan led Lindenwood with two points in the series against Michigan, compiling a goal and an assist. The Tecumseh, Kan. native is tied for the team lead in goals with two, while being second on the squad with three points. Finnegan scored last season when Lindenwood and Air Force met at Centene, as the Falcons took both games of the series.

Air Force returns 100 percent of its scoring from last season. Among those coming back is senior defenseman Brandon Koch, who was tabbed as a preseason all-Atlantic Hockey (AHA) team selection.
