The Lindenwood men's hockey team (2-8-0) will face its second-consecutive Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) opponent this weekend, as the Lions take on Army (1-5-1, 0-3-0 AHA) in a two-game set. Game one on Friday is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CT, while the series finale in West Point, N.Y. will begin at 3:00 p.m. CT.

Lindenwood is coming off a series split with Bentley, nabbing its first NCAA Division I road win in the series opener, 7-3 before falling in game two, 3-1. The Lions only other win this season came against another AHA opponent in Air Force. Lindenwood also scored seven goals in that game, defeating the Falcons, 7-6 on October 14.

David Gagnon had four points in the series opener against Bentley on one goal and three assists. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native paces the team in all major offensive categories and had 13 points through 10 games played.

The Lions have scored three or more goals in six games this season, averaging 3,0 goals per contest, which ranks top 25 in the country. 13 Lindenwood players have found the back of the net this while five players have three or more goals on the year.

Trent Burnham was solid in game one, recording 42 saves, including some big ones early in the first period. The native of Eagle Rivers, Ak., Burnham has earned both victories between the pipes for Lindenwood, and has made 30 or more saves in all five games he has started.

Army picked up its first win of the season last time out, defeating Dartmouth, 8-3 on October 30. The Black Knights scored six goals in the middle frame, marking just the fifth time in AHA history in which a team has scored six in a single period.

The Black Knights are led offensively by Anthony Firriolo who has eight points on the year. Army presents a balanced offensive attack as five players have six or more points so far this season.
