Cycling traveled its BMX team to Tulsa, Oklahoma for Sooner Nationals February 11-13 at Expo Square's Ford Truck Arena.

Frank Bock had some noteworthy rides on Friday and took first place in the Men's Novice class to hear his upgrade to Men's Intermediate the remainder of the weekend.  Megan Dudgeon and Florencia Haupt had a hard-fought battle during the Women's Expert event. It was a frantic final with both riders crashing, but they still fought for strong finishes with Haupt taking sixth with Dudgeon right behind in seventh.  Cooper Bromley also competed in the Men's Expert class and finished fourth.

Bock continued his hot streak on Saturday, placing second in his first day racing the Men's Intermediate Class.  Haupt finished fifth with Dudgeon a close sixth, and they both continued battled in Women's Expert.  Bromley found some extra speed to take third in the Men's Expert final. 

Bock continued to show strong finishes on Sunday, finishing in sixth place in the Men's intermediate final.  Dudgeon took fifth in the Women's Expert final with Haupt right on her heels in sixth.  Bromley was able to find even more speed and skill on his way to a second place finish.  Joey Leto made his only day of racing count in the Men's Pro race, blowing the field away with a victory to round out the weekend of racing for the Lions.   

The BMX squad wraps up its season with the USA Cycling Collegiate BMX National Championships February 18-20 at Black Mountain BMX in Phoenix, Arizona.
