Men's Hockey Schedule Announced For 2022-23

ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Lindenwood men's hockey team will play 32 games during the teams inaugural Division I campaign in 2022-23. The Lions will play 28 games on the road and four inside Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

Lindenwood opens the season on Saturday, October 1, which begins a two-game series against the University of Minnesota. The Gophers finished last season with a 26-13-0 record and made a Frozen Four appearance. The following weekend, the Lions head to Ann Arbor, Mich. to take on the on the University of Michigan, who also competed in the Frozen Four a year ago.

Air Force comes to Centene Community Ice Center on October 14-15, which will be the Lindenwood's home-opening series. The Lions and Falcons met last year in Maryland Heights, Mo. as Air Force took both games of the series. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. both days.

Lindenwood will head to Denver, Colo. to take on the defending national champion in the University of Denver. Last season, the Lions took an early lead over the Pioneers before falling in the contest. Another road matchup this season will be Arizona Ste, who Lindenwood will face on February 17-18 in Tempe Ariz. The Lions and Sun Devils were scheduled to meet last season before the series was canceled,

The final home series for Lindenwood will be on February 10-11 against Stonehill. The Skyhawks compiled a record of 7-19-2 a year ago. A few other series on the schedule include AIC, Wisconsin, and North Dakota, all of which will take place on the road.
