ST. CHARLES, MO – The Lindenwood field hockey program is set to take on Bellarmine University on Sunday, October 15
th at 2:00 PM CT, in Louisville, Ky.
The Lions are currently 3-7 on the year, picking up a loss to VCU in their most recent match.
Mia Simpson currently leads the Lions in points with seven, coming from three goals and one assist.
Alice van Hemelen, only a freshman, is second on the team in points with six, coming off three goals. In the Lions most recent match,
Leah Brozovich started in net. Brozovich on the year has made 40 saves on 17 goals against in six appearances, with five of them being starts.
The Lions are looking for their fourth win on the year.
This will be the 31
st time in program history the Lions will meet with the Knights. The Lions have gone 20-10 against the Knights, losing their last matchup 2-1 in 2019, before both teams made the NCAA Division I jump. Bellarmine is 6-7 on the year, winning 3-2 against Ball State in their most recent matchup. Paige Hoyer leads the Knights in points with 19, and Peyton Hobson is second on the team in points with 16. Kailey Workman has started all 13 games for the Knights, making 73 saves on 28 goals against.
