Hilary Pierce netted her first of the season for a 1-0 Lindenwood lead off a pass from Ardyn Hawryshko just 31-seconds into the contest. Katelynn Weeks made it 2-0 just 10-seconds later with help from Hawryshko and Brynn Carter. Hawryshko added her third point of the game with a score of her own, assisted by Loki Antonio and Pearce at 2:05.

After Colorado State broke the shutout at 7:05, Madison Teague sounded the horn at 16:19 on a play set up by Antonio and Pearce and Lindenwood carried a 4-1 advantage into the second, where it was more of the same.

Hawryshko split the pipes for her second of the game at 6:10 with help from Antonio and Brynn Carter to make it 5-1 Lions. After a Rams power play goal made it 5-2 at 7:39, Pearce hit the back of the net for her second of the season on a play set up by Antonio and Hawryshko and it was 6-2 Lindenwood.

A hooking call early in the third gave Colorado State a power play, but Saskia Fuchs flipped the script when Hawryshko and Teague set her up for a short-handed effort at 1:06. Hawryshko completed a hat trick at 5:06 and scored her seventh point of the game off a feed from Antonio, then Antonio scored her second and earned her sixth point of the contest, assisted by Pearce and Teague at 8:04. It was 9-2 Lions at that point, which proved to be the final margin.

Lindenwood outshot the Rams 52-27 and Evi Allerding stopped 25 of 27 to earn her first collegiate victory in goal. The Lions went scoreless on three power play chances while Colorado State scored once on five man-advantage opportunities.

In the second game of the series, Lindenwood jumped out to a 4-0 lead before yielding the only Rams goal of the contest.

Hawryshko picked up right where she left off, splitting the pipes short-handed on a play set up by Teague and Fuchs at 8:36 of the first. Sarah Nicholl then added her first as a Lion at 10:04 to make it 2-0. Kailey Keller and Lauren Miller earned the assists, their first each for Lindenwood. Kenzie Cameron then joined the party with her first of the season at 15:08, set up by Hawryshko and Antonio. The Lions carried a 3-0 lead into the second.

Teague and Weeks earned the helpers on the second Hawryshko goal of the game at 14:40 in the second to give Lindenwood a 4-0 advantage before the lone Colorado State score at 15:32.

The Lions added two more in the third period for the final margin of victory. Pearce netted her third of the season on a play set up by Hawryshko and Antonio at 7:02, then Antonio lit the lamp at 12:47 with help from Pearce and Ava Bilton.

Lindenwood outshot the Rams 44-31 and Jordan Tung stopped 30 of the 31 pucks she faced to earn her first victory as a Lion. The Lions failed to score on their only power play chance, but they kept Colorado State from scoring on six, man-advantage opportunities.

Hawryshko and Antonio led Lindenwood in the series with nine points each. Hawryshko scored five goals and had four assists while Antonio scored three and had six assists.

With the two wins, the Lions improved to 2-7-1 overall. After a weekend off, they will seek their first conference victory in Women's Midwest College Hockey action when they host Maryville University December 1-2. The puck drops at 9 p.m. both that Friday and Saturday night at the Centene Community Ice Center.
