Women's ACHA ice hockey fell to Minot State 8-2 in Women's Midwest College Hockey (WMCH) action on the road Friday afternoon at the MAYSA Arena in Minot, North Dakota. The Lions gave up four goals in the first and another four in the third, including one short-handed.
Loki Antonio put Lindenwood on the board unassisted at the 19:37 mark of the second period, and
Annika Asplundh netted her second of the year at 2:39 of the third on a play set up by
MacKenzie Cameron and
Risa Shatford.
The Beavers outshot the Lions 35-24 with
Emily McDonald stopping 27 of the 35 pucks she faced.
With the loss, Lindenwood dropped to 4-9-1 in the WMCH and to 5-14-1 overall, extended a winless streak to nine games. The Lions will try for a split in the series when they face Minot State Saturday afternoon. The puck drops at 2:45 p.m. at the MAYSA Arena.
