Men's Swimming & Diving (Discontinued)

Men Take Second, Women Take Third at Swimming and Diving Championships

The Lindenwood swimming and diving squad had a strong showing in their first Summit League Championships. The men's squad finished second, while the women's team finished third. Head Coach Jason Owen was named men's swimming coach of the year, Elliott Irwin was tabbed swimming championship MVP, David Molina-Fregenal was named diving MVP, and Johan Cue Carrillo was named newcomer of the championship

DAY ONE HIGHLIGHTS The men's squad sat in second place, while the women remained third after day two

DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS The men's team finished day three in second place, a little more than 30 points behind first place Denver. The women's squad remained in third.

DAY THREE HIGHLIGHTS
  • Lyssa Wood took second in the women's 400 Yard IM with a time of 4:24.45.
  • Meredith Riegler took fourth, compiling a time of 4:30.23
  • Jan Hanzal came in second in the same event on the men's side, earning the second fastest time in program history at 3:51.29
  • McKayla Siemiller finished second in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 54.53, a new school record
  • Elliott Irwin finished tops in the same event on the men's side with a time of 46.28. His prelim time of 45.85 was a new conference and school record
  • Patryk Winiatowski and Vincent Jaworski came in first and second respectively in the 200 Yard Freestyle
  • Johan Cue Carrillo and Mattia Giurgevich finished first and second in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. The time of 52.28 for Cur Carrillo was a new Summit League and school record
  • Stephanie Marks finished second in this event on the women's side with a time of 54.29, a new school record
  • Elle Christie finished fourth in the 3M dive
  • The women's 400M relay team of Stephanie Marks, Maja Piotrowicz, Mckayla Siemiller, and Beata Maruszczyk finished second with a new school record time of 3:41.40
  • Matheo Mateos-Mongelos, Johan Cue Carillo, Elliott Irwin, and Ondrej Dusa took the top spot in this event on the men's side, compiling a time of 3:11.09. second fastest time in school history
The men's team finished in second, while the women's team finished third in their first Summit League Championships
