Men's Basketball Welcomes UT Martin to Hyland Arena on Saturday

The Lindenwood men's basketball team (8-16, 3-8 OVC) will host UT Martin (15-9, 7-4 OVC) on Saturday afternoon from Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.

The Lions are coming off an impressive 80-67 win over Eastern Illinois on Thursday night.  Kevin Caldwell Jr. had a well-rounded night, as he led the team with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 5-of-6 from three-point range.  The Alton, Ill. native dished out six assists and pulled down five boards.  Chris Childs hit 4-of-5 from behind the arc to collect 16 points with two assists.  Keenon Cole tallied 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field as he pulled down eight boards, including three in the offensive end.

Lindenwood split the season series with the Panthers after dropping the December bout by just one point.  The Lions are now tied for eighth place in the conference standings, just two games back from a tie for fourth place.

Lindenwood kicked off the final month of the regular season with its sixth win inside Hyland Arena.  Childs continues to lead the squad with 13.2 points per game, while Caldwell Jr. is posting 12.5 per contest.  Caldwell Jr. has dished out a team-leading 81 assists, while collecting 27 steals on the defensive end.  Cole is shooting 54.7 percent with 12.4 points per game, while Cam Burrell is shooting 51.2 percent from the field, as he is scoring 11.1 points per game.

The Skyhawks and Lions will close out the season series on Saturday, after UT Martin earned a 66-56 win over Lindenwood in January.  Cole scored 19 points last week, while Tommie Williams compiled 11 points in the loss.

Lindenwood will close out the home stand against SIUE on Thursday night.
