On Saturday, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (3-4) returned home to face-off against Butler University, falling to the Bulldogs 13-8.
Overview
The Bulldogs would tally the first goal of the game. The Lions would bounce back scoring one of their own from
Logann Eldredge. The Bulldogs would score two in a row, while the Lions would score the final goal of the quarter with the Bulldogs leading 3-2 going into the second quarter. The Bulldogs would control the second frame scoring four while the Lions scoring two. Scorers in the second for the Lions were
Sara Grieco and
Elisabeth Ralph. The Bulldogs would lead 7-4 going into the second half.
In the third quarter, the Bulldogs once again would hold control, outscoring the Lions five to one. The lone scorer for the Lions in the third came from Eldredge. In the fourth, the Lions would tally three times to the Bulldogs one. Fourth quarter scorers for the Lions were Ralph,
Natalie Gane, and Grieco.
Eleanor Kast started in net for the Lions making eight saves on twenty-one shots on cage.
