Women’s Lacrosse Cruises to Another Victory

On Sunday, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (5-4) traveled to Kent, Ohio to take on the Kent State Golden Flashes. The Lions would cruise to an 18-13 victory over the Golden Flashes

Overview
Within this match, it was a high scoring affair. Both teams would score five goals in the first quarter. First quarter scorers for the Lions included Logann Eldredge, Emma Arnold, Sara Grieco, and two goals from Isabella Rulapaugh. Like the first quarter, the Lions would have a surge of goals in the second. The Lions would score six times while the Golden Flashes scored three times. Scorers in the second quarter included four from Eldredge, Natalie Gane and Grieco both had one goal. The Lions would lead 11-8 going into the second half.

In the third quarter, the Lions once again controlled the scoring, tallying four times and holding the Golden Flashes to two goals. Rulapaugh and Arnold would tally twice in the third quarter. Moving into the fourth quarter, the Lions would score three times in a row and would remain scoreless for the last nine minutes of the game. The Golden Flashes would try to come back, scoring three unanswered goals to end the game but was not enough to overcome the lead the Lions accumulated over the second and third quarter.

Eleanor Kast started in net for the Lions, making four saves on fifteen shots on cage. Elizabeth Goth would relieve Kast in the latter part of the game, making two saves on four shots on cage. Lexy Biller would tie her personal record and the program record in draw controls in a game with fourteen. Eight players tallied at least one point in the game.
