Men’s Lacrosse Falls 15-9 to Air Force

On Saturday, the Lindenwood men's lacrosse team (1-4) traveled to Colorado Springs, Colo., to take on the Air Force Academy. The Lions would fall to the Falcons 15-9.

Overview
The Lions would start off hot, netting in the first two goals of the game, coming from Flint Thielen and Ryan Kemp. The Falcons would dominate the rest of the frame, scoring seven goals in a row to end the quarter with the Falcons leading 7-2. Much like the first quarter, the Falcons would control the second quarter, scoring three goals while the Lions scored once. The lone scorer for the Lions in the second frame came from Danny Carolan who also scored the first goal of the quarter. The Falcons would lead going into the second half 10-3.

In the third quarter, the Lions would start off the scoring once again, coming from Mason Homer. The Lions would be shutout till the 2:34 mark in third, coming from an unassisted goal from Cam Smith. The Falcons would score four times in the third, leading into the final frame 14-5. In the fourth, scoring was stifled, with both teams scoring just once. The lone scorer in the fourth for the Lions came from an unassisted Adrian Thompson goal.

Blake Nolan started in net for the Lions making 14 saves on 29 shots on cage.
