Men’s Lacrosse Wins First Conference Game

On Wednesday, the Lindenwood men's lacrosse team (2-4) faced off against Queen's University of Charlotte. With strong third and fourth quarters, the Lions would soar to a 15-6 victory over the Royals.

Overview
With strong defensive play, scoring was hard to come by in the first quarter with only two goals being scored in the frame. The Lions would score twice while the Royals would remain scoreless. Scorers for the Lions in the first quarter included Shane Egen and Ryan Kemp. In the second quarter, the Royals would erase their scoreless first quarter scoring five times, while the Lions scored three times with the Lions and Royals being tied 5-5 going into the second half. Scorers in the second frame included Sam Schaffer, Noah Berger, and Cam Smith.

In the third quarter, the Lions would dominate, scoring five times and leaving the Royals scoreless. The Lions would lead going into the final frame 10-5. In the fourth quarter, the Lions would once again score fives times while the Royals only scored once. Scorers for the Lions in the second half included Smith, Wesley Scurci, Noah Wehrman, JP Morris, Adrian Thompson, and Kemp.

Blake Nolan started in net for the Lions making 13 saves on 19 shots on net. The Lions also had 12 individuals register at least one point.
