Women’s Lacrosse Drops First Conference Matchup

On Friday, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (5-6) traveled to Charlotte, N.C. to take on Queens University. The Lions would fall by a score of 14-5.

Overview
The Royals started off the scoring in this affair, tallying the first three goals of the game. The Lions would respond scoring one of their own coming from Elisabeth Ralph. The Royals would dominate the rest of the quarter scoring four consecutive to take the 7-1 lead going into the second quarter. Once again, the Royals would start the scoring in the second quarter, tallying the first the goals of the frame. At the 3:28 mark of the second, Emma Arnold scored for the Lions to close the deficit going into the second half. The Royals at half would lead 10-2.

In the third quarter, the Lions would control the scoring category. The Lions would score three times and hold the Royals to one. Scorers for the Lions included Isabella Rulapaugh, and two tallies from Logann Eldredge. The Royals would lead going into the final frame 11-5.  In the fourth quarter the Royals would control the scoring in the fourth quarter, tallying three times.

Eleanor Kast started in net for the Lions. Elizabeth Goth, would relieve Kast making 11 saves on 18 shots on net.
