On Tuesday, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (3-3) traveled to Teaneck, N.J., to take on the Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights, winning the matchup 15-7.
Overview
Starting off the game, FDU would score first, with the Lions answering right back from a
Isabella Rulapaugh goal. The Knights would strike again at the 11:33 mark of the first frame. The Lions would rebound, rallying off six unanswered goals, coming from Rulapaugh and
Logann Eldredge. Lions would lead 7-2 going into the second quarter. In the second quarter, scoring was stifled. The Lions in the second would score twice coming from
Meredith Parry and Rulapaugh, while the Knights tallied once. The Lions would lead going to the second half 9-2. The Lions would allow only nine shots in the first half.
In the third quarter, like the second quarter, the third frame was low scoring. The Lions would score twice from
Paige Sutton and
Sam Irwin, while the Knights would score once. In the fourth, both teams would score four times.
The Lions had thirteen players with at least one point.
Eleanor Kast would start in net for Lions making eight saves on 12 shots on cage.
Elizabeth Goth would relieve Kast in the latter part of the game making two saves on five shots on cage.
