The Lindenwood men's hockey team (7-21-0) remains in Alaska this weekend to take on the University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves (7-19-0) in a two-game set to close out the inaugural NCAA Division I season for Lindenwood. Game one is scheduled for 10:07 p.m. while the series finale will begin at 9:07 p.m. CT.

The Lions fell in a pair of games last weekend to No. 18 University of Alaska Fairbanks by scores of 4-1 and 8-0, respectively. Lindenwood's penalty kill was a perfect 10-10 in the series, moving the overall percentage to 75.3 on the year.

In the series against the Nanooks, the Lions blocked 34 shots across the two games. So far this season, Lindenwood has blocked a total of 448 attempts, led by
Jack Anderson who has compiled 74. Along with Anderson,
Joe Prouty is the only other Lindenwood player to block 50 or more shots this season.

Adam Conquest scored the lone goal for the Lions in the series, giving him six on the year. The Brighton, Mich. native is one of eight Lindenwood players with five or more goals during the year.

Despite the score,
Trent Burnham was outstanding in game one, making 47 saves. The Eagle River, Alaska native has made 40 or more saves in six games this season and has been between the pipes for five of the seven wins for Lindenwood this season.

Those seven victories are the most for a first-year program since the 2015-16 Arizona State Sun Devils who had three victories against Division I opponents. Lindenwood has won the most games against Division I opponents since the 2012-13 Penn State Nittany Lions who had 11 wins that season.

Anchorage enters the weekend with a 7-19-0 record as an independent. The Seawolves are coming off a 4-3 home win against Arizona State in their last game on Friday, March 4.
