Russina Breaks 400 Meter Program Record at the Music City Challenge

On Friday and Saturday, the men's and women's track and field team traveled to Nashville, Tenn., to compete at the Music City Challenge hosted at Vanderbilt University.

The Lions on the weekend had five individuals with top 6 finishes and one school record broken.

Top Women's Performances
400m – Gabby Russina (54.86), placed fifth and broke program record
400m Hurdles – Martina Martinez (1:02.83), placed fifth

Top Men's Performances
100m – Jameel Walkes-Miller (10.51), placed third
800m – Maxime Touron (1:52.36), placed sixth
400m Hurdles – Landon Oxford (55.55), placed sixth

The Lions will return to action on May 11-13 in Edwardsville, Ill., for the OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships
