On Wednesday, the OVC announced the track and field player of the week.

Lindenwood track member Hugo Vázquez, was recognized as the OVC Male Freshman of the Week for his performance at the Joey Haines Invitational on March 31-April 1.

Vázquez ran a personal record time of 14.48 in the 110 meter hurdles at the Invitational to earn first place and player of the week. Vázquez also ran a 22.52 in the 200-meter to earn eight place.
