The Lindenwood football team (2-1, 0-1 BS/OVC) concludes a three-game road trip on Saturday, taking on Illinois State (2-1, 1-0 MVFC) at 12:00 pm in Normal, Ill.

The Lions are coming off a thrilling 43-40 shootout win over Western Illinois this past weekend. Lindenwood outscored the Leathernecks 29-9 in the second half to pull off the comeback win. Through three games this season, the Lions have outscored opponents 57-25 in the second half.

Cole Dugger threw for five touchdowns, four of which were to
Jeff Caldwell. For his performance, Caldwell earned Big South-OVC Offensive Player of the Week. The Louisville, Ky. native finished his night with five catches for 185 yards and four touchdowns, including the game-winning score with just over a minute left in the game. The four touchdowns tied a program record for most in a single game, while the 185 yards through the air ranks sixth-most in a game.

Lindenwood sits atop the conference in points per game (42.3) and touchdowns (18). Running back
Robert Giaimo leads the team with 103 scrimmage yards per game. The 5-9 running back has been a threat on the ground and through the air with two rushing scores and two receiving touchdowns.

Redshirt junior
Devon Edwards made an impact on defense during Saturday's win. The Longmont, Colo. native led the team with 14 tackles, including 2.0 for loss. Edwards also forced a fumble in the victory. His 14 tackles are the most by a conference player this season.

The Lions will take on a Missouri Valley opponent for the second straight week. Following this game, Lindenwood will have two consecutive home games against Austin Peavy and Tennessee Tech.
