ST. CHARLES, MO. – The Lindenwood women's soccer team (2-5-1, 0-0-0 OVC) hosts Tennessee Tech (1-4-3, 0-0-0 OVC) at home on Thursday, September 21st, at 7:00 p.m., to open up OVC play.

The Lions are looking to bounce back from a three-game losing streak, where they fell to South Dakota 1-0 in their most recent matchup. The Lions are currently 2-0-1 at home, picking up wins against Chicago State and Murray State at Hunter Stadium. Players to watch for the Lions include Mia Corrigan, Maggie Weller, Karsen Kohl, and Erika Anstine. Weller and Corrigan are tied for second-most points on the team with four. Kohl has been a strong presence at midfield. The Saint Louis native has started and played in all eight matches on the year, racking up 714 minutes, which is second most on the team just behind Anstine. Anstine has played in all eight games in net for the Lions, making 38 saves on 13 goals against.

The Lions are looking to get their third win of the season, just to be two games below .500.

The Black and Gold will matchup against Tennessee Tech for the third time in program history. In the previous matchup against the Golden Eagles the Lions fell 5-0 in the OVC tournament. Tennessee Tech currently sits at 1-4-3 on the season and was picked to win the OVC in the preseason poll. In their most recent matchup, the Golden Eagles tied 2-2 to Middle Tennessee. Players to watch for the Golden Eagles Include Neve Renwick, Bailey Taylor, and Maggie Conrad. Renwick and Taylor are the leading scorers for the Golden Eagles, both having six points. Renwick leads the team in goals with three and Taylor has contributed two goals and two assists on the season. Conrad has started all eight games for the Golden Eagles making 49 saves on 12 goals against.
