The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (0-2, 0-0 MIVA) will have a pair of matches on the road this weekend against NJIT and LIU. Both matches are set to begin at 6:00 p.m. CT. The Lions are coming off a pair of losses to No. 6 Grand Canyon last weekend in Phoenix, Ariz.

• The black and gold dropped both games this past weekend against No. 6 Grand Canyon. A.J. Lewis and Clay Wieter each had 17 kills across both matches.
• For the second consecutive year, Lindenwood has begun the season with Grand Canyon and NJIT
• The Lions defeated NJIT 3-0 last season when the two teams met in St. Charles, Mo.
• In the match last season, Lindenwood combined for eight service aces while Lewis paced the team with nine kills.
• The Highlanders enter the match on a two-game win streak, with both victories coming at home.
• Lindenwood's lone victory against NJIT in Newark came on January 18, 2014
• This will only be the second-ever meeting between LIU and Lindenwood and the first clash in Brooklyn.
• Last season, the Sharks swept the Lions inside Hyland Arena
• In that match, Ian Schuller posted 15 kills to lead the team.

2024 OUTLOOK
The Lindenwood men's volleyball team currently has nine matchups against ranked teams on its 2024 schedule. The squad was picked to finished sixth in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Preseason Poll earning 41 points. Lindenwood returns key pieces to their lineup for 2024, including A.J. Lewis, RaShawn Bonner, and Ian Schuller, who all garnered all-conference honors a year ago. Lewis was named to the preseason all-MIVA team for the upcoming year. Last season, Lewis led the team with 39 service aces and was second on the team with 249 digs.

The Lions will travel to St. Louis, Mo. for a matchup with Maryville on Thursday, January 25. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. Lindenwood's home opener is set for Saturday, January 27 against King. It will begin at 2:00 p.m.
