ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Lindenwood women's rugby team is set to play their first match of the season on Saturday, October 12th against Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla. starting at 11:00 a.m. CT. This marks the first match for the Lions since their transition to emerging sports status.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Lindenwood is 1-0 all-time against Southern Nazarene dating back to last season when the Lions won 48-15
- Returning Lion Madison Jersey scored three tries last season including a 80-meter break
- Brianna Breath and Charlotte Roberts also scored tries for the Lions last season against the Red Storm
- Lindenwood is coached by Trevor Locke in his third season at the helm, he is assisted by Colten Hernadez
- Freda Tafuna returns to St. Charles for her final season after taking home the Sorensen Award in 2024 (given to the best Women's College Rugby Player)
