The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (3-7, 0-3 MIVA) hits the road for a matchup with #13 Lewis (7-4, 2-1 MIVA) on Friday, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

FIRST SERVE

• The Lions are coming off a back-and forth five-set loss to #11 Ball State last Saturday.
• This was Lindenwood's first match that went the distance on the year.
• Once again, Lindenwood won the opening set, something that has been done by the Lions seven times this season.
• Ian Schuller led the squad with 20 kills.
• The Downers Grove, Ill. native is currently second on the team with 107 terminations this season.
• Connor Sheehan added a season-high 63 assists and continues to lead the MIVA with 11.62 assists per set.
• With those 63 assists, Sheehan tied the single-game program assists record
• Lindenwood dropped a match with Lewis back on January 31, a 3-1 loss.
• The Lions also won the first set in that matchup.
• Clay Wieter paced the Lions with 17 kills against the Cardinals.
• Overall, Lindenwood went 1-1 last week with a sweep of Missouri S&T.
• Head coach Joe Kosciw enters his seventh season at the helm of the program and his 11^th at Lindenwood.

2024 OUTLOOK
The Lindenwood men's volleyball team currently has 11 matchups against ranked teams on its 2024 schedule. The squad was picked to finished sixth in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Preseason Poll earning 41 points. Lindenwood returns key pieces to their lineup for 2024, including A.J. Lewis, RaShawn Bonner, and Ian Schuller, who all garnered all-conference honors a year ago. Lewis was named to the preseason all-MIVA team for the upcoming year. Last season, Lewis led the team with 39 service aces and was second on the team with 249 digs.

Lindenwood will return home for back-to-back matches against Loyola Chicago on February 23-24. Both matches are set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
