The Lindenwood women's golf team completed the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate on Tuesday, finishing with a team score of 961, good for 14
th place.
OVERVIEW
The Lions opened the tournament with a combined team score of 326. Leading the pack was
Paula Mariana Sanchez who carded a 76, aided by a pair of birdies. She was one of three Lions with two birdies on the day along with
Noelia Rodriguez Chicote and
Andrea Alvarez.
Lindenwood shot a 336 as a team in round two, led by
Paula Mariana Sanchez. Three Lions carded at least two birdies during the round, including
Andrea Alvarez,
Laura Sanchez, and
Jamie Daniels. After 36 holes, the black and gold sat in 15
th place.
Lindenwood carded its best round of the tournament, shooting a 317 on the final day.
Paula Mariana Sanchez paced the Lions with a one-over 73, which included 13 pars. She finished her round on a high note with a birdie on the final hole. As a result, she jumped 21 spots on the leaderboard and finished in a tie for 26
th.
Andrea Alvarez also had a strong finish to her tournament, carding a three-over on the back nine, while recording two birdies on the front nine.
