The Lindenwood women's golf team finished in a tie for fourth place at the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament this week and Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Ga. The Lions compiled a team score of 983.
OVERVIEW
The Lions opened the tournament shooting 332 as a team, led by
Andrea Alvarez who cared a 78 with the help of a pair of birdies.
Paula Mariana Sanchez and
Jamie Daniels each shot 84, followed by
Isabella Buckley with an 86 and
Meredith Colby who also had two birdies and finished with an 88. After 18 holes, the Lions sat in fourth place.
Lindenwood carded a 329 as a team paced by Sanchez with a 77, closely followed by Alavarez with a 78. Buckley fired an 84, while
Sophia Lefler saw her first action of the week and shot 90. Daniels rounded out the lineup with a 92.
The Black and Gold saved its best round for last, shooting 322. Daniels led the way, firing a 76 with the help of four birdies, including three on the back nine. She was closely followed by Alvarez who had a birdie, birdie start and finished with a 79. Buckley came in just behind them with an 81, while Colby shot 86 and Sanchez carded 87.
