On Thursday, the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) announced its all-conference teams and four student-athletes from the Lindenwood men's volleyball team earned recognition: A.J. Lewis, Ian Schuller, Connor Sheehan, and Clay Wieter each earned a spot on the second team.

Lewis has now been recognized as a second team selection for the third-consecutive season. Lewis has been a key cog in the Lindenwood lineup, starting every match. So far this year, the Shorewood, Ill. native has compiled 269 kills, while tallying 42 service aces, second most in the conference. The graduate student is tied for the team lead in points per set at 4.01.

Schuller is a second team selection for the second time in as many seasons. The Downers Grove, Ill. native has racked up 279 kills this season, second most on the squad. Schuller ranks seventh in the conference in service aces with 30, and sixth in the MIVA in digs with 166, averaging two per set. The sophomore was named MIVA Defensive Player of the Week one time this season.

Sheehan lands on the second team after an outstanding year as the Lindenwood setter. Sheehan currently averages 11.22 assists per set which leads the conference and all of Division I. Earlier this year, the O'Fallon, Ill. native tied the program record for assists in a single match with 63 against Ball State on February 10.

Wieter earned his first-career all-conference selection, garnering a second team honor. The St. Louis, Mo. native leads the team in kills with 293, including a career-high 23 against Maryville earlier in the season. Wieter ranks 10^th in the conference with a .312 hitting percentage. He has earned a weekly honor two times this season, one offensive, and one defensive. Wieter set a career-high with 18 digs against Queens on April 18.

The Lions will be back in action on Saturday, hosting a MIVA Tournament game for the first time in program history. Lindenwood will take on the five-seed, Purdue Fort Wayne at 6:00 p.m. inside Hyland Arena.
