Graduating senior
Nick Hardrict, II has signed a three-month contract to join the USA Men's Sevens Player Pool ahead of the 2024 summer Olympic games.
He will immediately relocate to Chula Vista, California to train at the Elite Athlete Training Center ahead of the Paris games. Afterwards, he will look to maintain residency as a full- time member of Team USA. As a younger player in the pool, he will have his work cut out for him.
Hardrict, an athletic and exciting wing, has been making waves with the U.S. Olympic Rugby Team for some time. He first gained attention as a standout player for Lindenwood, where he has earned numerous All-Conference and All-American honors.
Hardrict was earlier selected for the United States U23 Olympic Rugby Team, representing his college at the RugbyTown Sevens Tournament in Colorado. He also played for the USA Falcons at the Coral Coast Sevens Tournament in Fiji, where his team finished as Bowl Runner-ups. He was also selected to represent Team USA at the 2023 Pan-American Games in Santiago, Chile, marking his first senior-level international event??. Earlier this month, Hardrict was in London playing for the USA Falcons—an Olympic development team.
The rugby sevens tournament starting July 24 at the summer Olympic Games promises to be a thrilling showcase of speed, skill, and strategy.
