ABOUT THE MLR RISING PROGRAM
The MLR Rising program, scheduled for July 8-13, 2024, at Mary Washington University in Fredericksburg, Virginia, will showcase top collegiate rugby talent from North America. This event offers players the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in front of Major League Rugby (MLR) personnel ahead of the MLR College Draft. Participants will experience a professional rugby environment, including training sessions, workshops, and matches. They will also attend the USA vs. Scotland match on July 12 at Audi Field.
The program also involves engagement with current college rugby coaches and MLR players transitioning to coaching roles. Historically, participants in similar programs, such as the Collegiate Rugby Shield, have seen significant success in being drafted into the MLR.
