ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Lindenwood men's ice hockey has released their 2024-25 schedule for their third Division I season and their first under first-year head coach Bill Muckalt. The Lions will host six home series at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

"We have six home series highlighted by hosting the Buckeyes of Ohio State University on November 15th and 16th at the Centene Community Ice Center," said Muckalt on his first schedule release at Lindenwood. "Overall, I am really excited about our strength of schedule and quality of opponents."

Beginning on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, the Lions will host the Rebels of UNLV at Centene. Times are slated for 7:10 p.m. CT on both days. This marks the first ever meeting between the two clubs.

The Lions will then begin a stretch of five straight away series starting off in Madison, Wis. against Wisconsin on Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12. Lindenwood continues their road trip with matchups against Air Force (Oct. 18-19), Miami of Ohio (Oct. 25-26), Robert Morris (November 1-2) and Denver (Nov. 8-9).

Muckalt's squad will then return home for back-to-back series against Big Ten opponent Ohio State and Stonehill. On Friday Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16, Lindenwood will host the Buckeyes at 7:10 p.m. CT and 2:10 p.m. CT respectively. The Lions then take on Stonehill on Nov. 22 and 23 at Centene starting at 7:30 p.m. CT on Friday and 4:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.

Lindenwood finishes the 2024 part of the season on the road before the holiday break at Michigan State on Nov. 29th and 30th and at Nebraska-Omaha on December 13th and 14th. Times are to be announced later.

After the new year, Lindenwood will host St. Thomas on Friday, January 3 and Saturday, January 4 at 7:30 p.m. CT and 4:30 p.m. CT. Starting on Friday, Jan. 10, the Lions will start another three-series road trip beginning with two games against Stonehill in Easton, Mass. Lindenwood will make stops against Augustana (Jan. 17-18) and Notre Dame (Jan. 24-25) before returning home for an exhibition series against Simon Fraser on Jan. 31-Feb. 1.

To end the season, Lindenwood will travel to Long Island on Feb. 6 and 7 before coming back to Centene for their final home series against Alaska Fairbanks on Friday, Feb. 14 (7:10 p.m. CT) and Saturday, Feb. 15 (2:10 p.m. CT). Their final series will be on Feb. 21 and 22 at Alaska Anchorage.

"This will pose a good challenge for our group as we use these games as a measuring tool to see where we are at," said Muckalt. "This season will provide big opportunities to see where we can improve as a team. Excited to get on the ice with our players and start working to get better."
