The Lindenwood women's soccer team travels across the river to take on SIUE on Thursday night in an OVC matchup. Lindenwood and SIUE share a long regional history dating back to 1982. After battling through an early eight-game losing streak, the Cougars have shown signs of momentum in recent weeks, earning a scoreless draw with Tennessee Tech and a 3-2 victory over Western Illinois. Offensively, SIUE has netted 12 goals through 13 matches, ranking sixth in the league, while defensively, the Cougars have conceded 33 goals, the third-highest total in the conference.
• The Cougars feature a balanced attack with four players recording multiple goals this season. Savannah DeFini leads the team with three goals and six points, followed by Amanda Dean, Aleah Minehart, and Alayna Hauser, who have each found the net twice. In goal, Sarah Bozeman has started nearly every match for SIUE, posting a .688 save percentage, which ranks near the bottom of the OVC.
